Hello everyone!
We just finished Week 6 of our DTS, which means we are halfway through our lecture phase! I can hardly believe it; the time has gone by so quickly. So here I am with a little mid-school update to share with you some news:
Where am I going on Outreach?
The big question! One unique thing about DTS with YWAM is that you come to the school not knowing where you'll go on Outreach. It's a great exercise in faith! Kind of like when God told Abraham to leave his country but didn't tell him where exactly to go (Genesis 12:1).
At the end of week 4, our school leaders finally revealed to us the Outreach locations they would be sending three teams to: Malaysia & Cambodia for one team, Nepal for another team, and Mexico for another team. They asked us to pray about which location God was sending us to, and then all our school staff spent several days praying about each of us as well. Finally, toward the end of week 5, we found out our teams.
Soooo, I'm going to Mexico for my Outreach! I'm so excited to explore other parts of Mexico and share the gospel with people we meet. We don't know where exactly we're going yet, but it'll be multiple cities in the south of Mexico, most likely starting with Mexico City!
What are my financial needs?
Outreach Cost
Since my Outreach leaders are still trying to work out details with our contacts in various locations, we don't know exactly how much it'll cost yet, but we're estimating around $2,500 total, maybe more. My school leaders are also asking everyone to have $1,500 paid by tomorrow (Monday 11/6) so we can go ahead and purchase all our plane tickets before they get more expensive as time goes on. At the time of writing, I need $930 more to meet that deadline. Praise God for the $570 already raised for my Outreach!
Update: the Lord provided the $930, plus $5 extra, by that Tuesday 11/7!!

Sleeping Bag
We are going camping as part of our discipleship training this Thursday! I am so excited, but I need a sleeping bag—preferably one that is lightweight so it fits in my backpack but will also keep me warm. I will need one for Outreach too because we'll be doing a lot of backpacking and sleeping on the ground, so I want to buy a good quality one that will last a long time.
I currently don't have any money but I am trusting the Lord to provide, perhaps through you!
Update: the Lord did provide the funds for a sleeping bag through one of you and I was able to purchase a nice, lightweight, warm one!!

What are my prayer requests?
I would love prayer for
- God’s provision—financially and with other things I don't even know I'll need yet as I'm walking in the unknown in faith
- Grace and endurance in (potential) hardship during Outreach
- Unity in my Outreach team (there are 8 students, including me, and 2 leaders)
- Perseverance for the rest of DTS as it has been very spiritually and emotionally difficult and draining at times, as God has been sanctifying me
