When designing for Liberty University's Campus Recreation department, some projects would lend well to a more illustrative style of design, while some communicated the message better through photo-based design. At the beginning of each project, my supervisor and I would often chat about which design style we thought would fit best for the overall goal of the project. The following posters came from projects we determined would work well in a photo-montage style.

image masking
layout design
photo editing

Snowflex Demo poster—this involved choosing photos that would play well with the letters in "demo" and masking them out.

Fall 2021 Fitness Workshops poster—this involved cutting the exercisers out of their photos and editing each one to have a similar look.

Trampoline Contest poster—this involved finding and editing the photos, cutting out each piece, and arranging them in a fun, dreamlike collage with enough space for the text, too

Cycle Coach by Color poster—this involved masking out the cyclist and figuring out the best way for her to interact with the letters so they were still readable. The graphic in the background was created from scratch by me, too.
